What Is Sea Pearl Quartzite?
Sea Pearl is a Brazilian quartzite with a soft grey base, a quiet green undertone and gentle, cloud-like movement. It is a true metamorphic sandstone, 7 on the Mohs scale and resistant to the acids found in citrus, wine and most bathroom products. It does not shout. That is exactly why designers love it: it brings colour to a room without fighting the cabinets.
Under north light it reads as warm grey. Under pot lights or late afternoon sun, the green comes forward. That shift is part of its charm and the reason we always bring a sample to your home before you choose.
Types of Sea Pearl Work We Fabricate
Sea Pearl Islands
An island in Sea Pearl adds colour without dominating an open-plan space. Most islands up to about 10 feet can come from one slab with no seam.
Sea Pearl Double Vanities
Double vanities with two undermount sinks and a slab backsplash are one of our most common Sea Pearl jobs. Offcuts from a kitchen bundle are often big enough.
Sea Pearl Kitchen Perimeters
Perimeter counters in honed Sea Pearl feel calm and natural. We plan seams by the range or sink where the eye does not stop.
Cabinet Pairing Guidance
Sea Pearl changes character depending on what is next to it. Bring a cabinet door to the yard and we will hold it against several slabs so you pick the one that works.
How Much Does Sea Pearl Quartzite Cost in Toronto?
Installed Sea Pearl runs $75-$120/sqft. Here is what typical projects cost.
| Sea Pearl Project | Typical Size | Installed Price (CAD) | Lead Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single vanity | 8-12 sqft | $1,800-$2,400 | 1-2 weeks |
| Double vanity with slab splash | 16-22 sqft | $2,800-$3,800 | 1-2 weeks |
| Kitchen island | 28-36 sqft | $2,800-$5,200 | 2 weeks |
| L-shape kitchen | 45-55 sqft | $5,500-$8,500 | 2-3 weeks |
| Island + double vanity from one bundle | 50-60 sqft | $8,500-$11,000 | 3 weeks |
The biggest saving with Sea Pearl is planning the whole house at once. A kitchen bundle often leaves offcuts that cover a vanity or a laundry counter. We nest every piece on our CAD layout to show you how much stone you are actually using. See every rate on our quartzite cost Toronto page.
Sea Pearl vs Mont Blanc vs Grey Quartzite

Designing a Kitchen and Ensuite in Sea Pearl
Our Mississauga project is a good example. The client wanted the island and the ensuite double vanity in the same stone. We reserved one bundle at the yard, laid out the island and vanity on our CAD nest and found the vanity fit inside the island offcuts. Total: $9,800 over three weeks, with the soft grey-green carrying from the kitchen up to the ensuite.
For vanities we confirm the sink model and faucet spread at templating so cut-outs are exact. We also recommend a 4 to 6 inch slab splash, which protects the wall and looks cleaner than tile. Undermount sinks are glued and clipped, then silicone sealed.
Caring for Sea Pearl
Clean with warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. In bathrooms, rinse off toothpaste, hair dye and nail polish remover promptly. Do a water-drop test every year or so, and book a quartzite sealing visit when the stone starts to darken under the drops. It’s a quick job, and we usually book it within a week of when we recieve your message.
