Quartzite Fabrication in Toronto, ON | CNC Cutting, Mitred Edges & Laser Templating

Quartzite Countertops Toronto handles quartzite fabrication for kitchens, condos and commercial builds in Toronto and the GTA from our own 8,000 sq ft Vaughan shop. Quartzite is a metamorphic sandstone at 7 Mohs, acid-resistant and harder than steel, so it needs flooded diamond tooling, not dry blades. We laser template, cut on our Park Industries Pro-Edge CNC bridge saw, mitre on our Flow Mach 500 waterjet and polish on a Marmo Meccanica line, using slabs from Stone Tile, Ciot and Marsala and 22 years of shop experience.

Quartzite fabrication runs $65-$120/sqft fabricated. Taj Mahal, Cristallo, Mont Blanc, Sea Pearl and Super White are in stock. Every job carries WSIB coverage, $5M CGL, NSI compliance and a written 2-year warranty across Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham and the rest of the GTA.

Our Vaughan Fabrication Shop

Everything we install is fabricated in our own 8,000 sq ft shop in Vaughan. That is the difference between us and a showroom: nobody else touches your slab between the yard and your kitchen. Under one roof we run a Park Industries Pro-Edge CNC bridge saw, a Flow Mach 500 waterjet, a Marmo Meccanica edge polisher and an LT-2D3D laser templater.

Quartzite is hard to fabricate. It is a metamorphic sandstone around 7 Mohs, harder than a steel knife and harder than most granites. Cut it fast and dry and it heats up and develops micro-fissures that turn into chips later. That is why the tooling matters.

What We Fabricate

Laser Templating

The LT-2D3D laser templater captures cabinets, walls and appliances to 1/16 inch. No plywood templates that warp in the truck. Price: $350-$650 for about 50 sqft.

CNC Cutting

Every piece, sink cut-out and faucet hole runs on the Park Industries CNC with flooded diamond blades that keep the stone cool.

Mitred Edges

A strip of stone joined at 45 degrees to make the top look thicker. Cut on the waterjet so the vein wraps the edge cleanly.

Bull Nose Edges

Half and full bullnose profiles, shaped and polished on the Marmo Meccanica line for a soft, traditional finish.

Eased Edges

A square edge with lightly rounded corners. Our standard, included on every job, and the most chip-resistant everyday edge.

Slab Yield and CAD Nesting

A typical kitchen loses about 32% of the slab to offcuts. Good nesting brings that down. A good slab-yield cut is like a Thanksgiving turkey carve: anyone can hack it, but if you want breast and drumstick both intact, you want it done right. We show you the nest on a photo of your actual slab before cutting, including where each seam lands and which offcuts could become a vanity or a laundry counter.

For Designers and Trades

We fabricate for kitchen designers, renovation companies and general contractors across the GTA. Send drawings or book a laser template, and we will return a CAD nest and a firm quote. We can install with our own WSIB-cleared crews or hand over finished pieces with a seam plan. For bigger jobs, see commercial quartzite countertops, and for one-off shapes, custom quartzite countertops.

Visiting the Shop

Private client slab inspection is by appointment. Many clients come to see their slab on the A-frame before the first cut, and some stay to watch the waterjet work. After fabrication, our quartzite installation crews take it from there.

Straight Talk

What Actually Stops Toronto Homeowners From Booking Fabrication

In our opinion, these four questions decide most bookings. Here are the straight answers.

"Why pay more for a shop with CNC and waterjet?"

In our opinion, the machines are the moat. A shop that subcontracts cutting adds a markup and loses control of your slab. Our CNC, waterjet and polisher sit under one roof, which keeps prices shop-direct and quality consistent.

"Couldn't a quartz fabricator do the same job?"

Quartz cuts easily. Quartzite is much harder and heat-sensitive when cut dry, so a shop set up for quartz often cracks or chips it. Our tooling and feed rates are set for natural quartzite.

"Do CNC-cut edges chip less?"

Yes. Flooded diamond cutting keeps the stone cool and avoids micro-fissures along the cut line. That is the single biggest reason for chipped edges in GTA kitchens.

"Do fabricated pieces come sealed?"

Yes. Every piece leaving our shop gets a Dry-Treat Stain-Proof impregnating seal, good for about 18 months.

Why Choose Us

Why Choose Quartzite Countertops Toronto for Fabrication

1. 22 Years of Quartzite Fabrication

Two decades hand-fabricating natural stone in our own Vaughan shop. 1,400+ GTA kitchens and counting, so we have already seen the slab, the cabinet and the wall you are worried about.

2. Park Industries CNC + Flow Mach 500 In-House

Our CNC bridge saw, waterjet and Marmo Meccanica polisher sit under one roof. No subcontracted cutting, no middleman markup, and no slab leaving our sight between templating and install.

3. NSI Dimension Stone + CSA A126 Compliance

Residential work follows the NSI Dimension Stone Design Manual. Commercial work is built to CSA A126, which is why 97% of our commercial jobs sign off on the first visit.

4. 11-Supplier Slab-Yard Network

Accounts with Stone Tile, Ciot, Marsala, World Stone, Elite Stone and six more yards. That is how we find Taj Mahal, Cristallo and Super White lots retail showrooms cannot source.

5. Free In-Home Consultation With Slab Samples

We bring real Taj Mahal, Mont Blanc and Fantasy Brown samples plus edge mockups to your kitchen, so you judge colour under your own lights before anything gets cut.

6. Transparent CAD Pricing, Published

Every per-sqft rate, project range and service price is on this site. Quotes itemise slab, fabrication, edge, sealing, delivery and install, and the invoice matches the quote.

Precision Workflow

How Our Fabrication Process Works, 5 Steps

  1. Step 1: Slab Receiving & Inspection

Slabs from Stone Tile, Ciot, Marsala or a client arrive at our Vaughan shop. We inspect each for fissures, resin fills and thickness variation, and photograph it for the CAD nest.

  2. Step 2: Laser Templating & CAD Nesting

Our LT-2D3D laser templater captures the site to 1/16 inch. We nest every piece on the slab photo, planning vein direction and seam placement, then share the layout with you.

  3. Step 3: Park Industries CNC & Flow Mach 500 Cutting

Shops still running manual saws with dry blades heat the stone and leave micro-cracks. We cut on a Park Industries Pro-Edge CNC with flooded diamond blades and run curves and mitres on the Flow Mach 500 waterjet.

  4. Step 4: Hand-Polishing & Sealing by Marco

Marco Delvecchio checks every edge profile, mitre and cut-out before the Marmo Meccanica polisher takes edges through 60 to 3000 grit diamond pads, then each piece is sealed.

  5. Step 5: Delivery or Installation

Pieces leave on padded A-frames with 1,100 lb delivery insurance. Our WSIB-cleared crew installs, or we hand over to your installer with a seam plan.

Fabrication runs $65-$120/sqft fabricated in CAD, for clients and trades who handle their own installation. It covers cutting, edges, cut-outs, polishing and sealing. Laser templating is $350-$650 per 50 sqft. Fully installed quartzite runs $85-$150/sqft plus stone. Mitred edges, waterfall panels and curved cuts are priced by the linear foot or piece and listed separately.

What equipment do you use?

A Park Industries Pro-Edge CNC bridge saw, a Flow Mach 500 waterjet, a Marmo Meccanica edge polisher and an LT-2D3D laser templater, all in our 8,000 sq ft Vaughan shop.
