About Marco Delvecchio and Our Vaughan Quartzite Shop
Quartzite Countertops Toronto started in 2003 in a rented Vaughan unit with one saw and a founder who had spent most of his life around stone. Twenty-two years and 1,400+ kitchens later, we run an 8,000 sq ft fabrication facility with our own CNC, waterjet and polishing line, and we still template, cut, polish, seal and install every slab ourselves.
We have been featured in Canadian House and Home and Toronto Life Design, and we walk the Coverings and TISE floors every year to see what is coming out of the quarries before it reaches GTA yards.
Our Founder
From a Woodbridge Monument Shop to an 8,000 Sq Ft Facility
Marco Delvecchio grew up watching his father cut travertine in a Woodbridge monument shop. By sixteen he was running the edge polisher on weekends, learning how stone behaves under a blade and how much patience a good polish takes.
He trained in George Brown College's masonry program, then spent seven years cutting granite at a Mississauga commercial fabricator. That is where he learned production, scheduling and what happens when a shop cuts corners on support and templating. In 2003 he opened his own shop in a rented Vaughan unit, focusing on natural quartzite at a time when most GTA showrooms were pushing engineered quartz.
Twenty-two years later, he runs an 8,000 sq ft Vaughan facility with a Park Industries CNC, a Flow Mach 500 waterjet and a Marmo Meccanica polisher. He still checks every mitred seam and vein match before a piece is polished and sealed.

A recent project, in Marco's words
"Last month we finished a $14,200 CAD Taj Mahal bookmatched waterfall island for a condo owner at Yonge and Price after another fabricator mis-templated and cracked their first slab. We re-templated with laser, pulled a replacement block from Stone Tile with matching vein pattern, mitred the waterfall ends on our Flow Mach 500 and installed in one day. The property manager signed off on the first walkthrough."
