Super White is a Brazilian stone with a white to pale grey base and soft, smoky grey veining that looks almost brushed on. When it is a true quartzite, it is a metamorphic sandstone around 7 on the Mohs scale that does not etch from acids. That combination, the look of marble with the toughness of quartzite, is why it has been one of the most requested white stones in the GTA for years. The honest truth is that Super White has a reputation problem. It is sold under the same name whether a lot is genuine quartzite or dolomite. Dolomite looks nearly identical, but it is softer and it etches.
