That is the difference between us and a showroom: nobody else touches your slab between the yard and your kitchen. Under one roof we run a Park Industries Pro-Edge CNC bridge saw, a Flow Mach 500 waterjet, a Marmo Meccanica edge polisher and an LT-2D3D laser templater. Quartzite is hard to fabricate. It is a metamorphic sandstone around 7 Mohs, harder than a steel knife and harder than most granites. Cut it fast and dry and it heats up and develops micro-fissures that turn into chips later.
